The refuge is located in Roncoi di Fuori (San Gregorio nelle Alpi) and can be reached on foot by following an easy path of about 3 km and 350 m of elevation gain, with an average walking time of about one hour. Given the characteristics of the path, it is particularly well-suited for mountain biking and, on foot, it is a beautiful walk in all seasons, even with snow!
The refuge, situated at the foot of Monte Pizzocco (with the presence of numerous trails that pass through the area or lead to the summit of the mountain - 2186 m) offers a wide view from above of the Valbelluna almost in its entirety and of the Prealps.
In the summer, the refuge is always open with continuous hours from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, while during the rest of the year it is open only on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The refuge's restaurant offers a rich range of typical local dishes, and it is also possible to stay overnight.
