Valmorel, due to its elevated position, offers wide views of the peaks of the Prealps. In this context, two panoramic points have been identified as particularly significant. Both offer broad and impressive panoramas, are easily visible from the road, and accessible, with spaces for resting or parking even at the roadside.
The two points are located at the beginning of Valpiana, above the La Schirata company, and at the top of Valpiana, near the Buzzati's Lime Tree.
This initiative is part of the "Panoramic Photos" project, presented in 2012. The creation of the 180° panoramic images was handled by the Limanese photographer Renato Bortot, while the identification and naming of the visible mountains were entrusted to the photographer Stefano Dal Molin.
For the operational part, the Frazionale Committee of Valmorel has created the displays intended for the panoramic photographs and managed their installation at the identified points, in a collaborative effort with the parties involved in the project.
