Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta e San Cassiano

The parish church of Cordignano, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and Saint Cassian, is very ancient; it already existed with the title of Pieve towards the end of the 7th century and probably belonged to the bishopric of Oderzo before the Diocese of Ceneda was established. It was one of the four parishes (S. Cassiano - S. Fior di Sopra - S. Polo and S. Remedio now disappeared) that Callistus, Patriarch of Aquileia (8th century), reserved in the territory of the Diocese of Ceneda, because it was located along the road he would have to travel to reach the Lombard royal palace of Pavia. Inside, there are numerous pictorial (including the Baptism of Christ attributed to Tintoretto) and sculptural works that adorn the ceiling, the main altar, and the side chapels.
