Museo Fotografico della Grande Guerra "Eugenio Secco"

The Photographic Museum of the Great War "Eugenio Secco" was born from the photographic collection "Il Feltrino invaso", composed of about 400 photo from various archives from Vienna, found during a research in 1992.

The further enrichment of the exposed documentation, together with the loan on loan of use of several war finds by the collector Eugenio Secco, offers a permanent exhibition, dedicated to the territory of Feltre and the places of the battles on the Grappa Massif.

The collection gives an essential picture of the year of war between late autumn 1917 and autumn 1918, traditionally referred to as the year of hunger. The exhibition is divided into themes: the invasion and its directions, Feltre and the villages of Feltrino, the works of war, the war zones, the population and the "invaders", the health of war.

It is a small collection located in two rooms of the municipal library of Seren del Grappa and inserted in the informal network of the "Museum of Grappa". Today, it is one of the many permanent proposals for further information on the events of the Great War available on the slopes of Grappa and one of the few on the Belluno side.

The small photographic collection is also an ideal starting point for excursions culminating in Mount Pertica, the most advanced outpost of the Austrian lines.
