The Landscape Museum, located in Boccafossa in the Municipality of Torre di Mosto, is owned by the Municipality of Torre di Mosto. The Museum was inaugurated in 2007 following a series of exhibitions organized through a program agreement by 4 Municipalities (Torre di Mosto, Caorle, Eraclea, Ceggia) on the theme of the artistic representation of the 20th Century Landscape in Veneto.
The Museum currently consists of two building sections. The first is the former elementary school of Boccafossa in Torre di Mosto, renovated for museum purposes in two phases; the first intervention, concerning the ground floor, was funded with European and regional funds, while the second, regarding the renovation of the first floor, was financed with municipal funds and regional contributions, and was completed in 2009.
Exhibitions started in 2007. The second building was constructed from scratch with European and regional funds; initially intended to house artifacts from the peasant civilization, it was later renovated to host contemporary art exhibitions. Exhibitions began in 2010.
