Cason of woodcutters with a thatched roof in Val Dumela. It was used as a seasonal shelter by the charcoal burners who, nearby, in the charcoal yards, prepared charcoal, an operation that took several weeks.
The place is enchanting, a clearing on the edge of a deep valley with, as a parapet, small rocky outcrops shaped like hands, the Sasso delle Capre, at the foot of Mount Fontana Secca.
In the background, the foothills of Grappa extend towards Feltrino and on the horizon, the Lagorai and the Belluno Dolomites.
