Malga Canidi (1250 m) is located in the municipality of Mel, in the eponymous area at the foot of Monte Canidi; from here, one enjoys a pleasant panorama that spans across Valbelluna. The main structure dates back to the 1970s and was expanded in the 1990s.
Recently, it has undergone renovation and improvements to accommodate the agriturismo with a kitchen. Externally, there is a large terrace.
Surrounded by a pasture of 44 hectares on which cows, horses, donkeys, and sheep graze, the malga is an excellent starting point for hikes, MTB trails, or simply for a break featuring good food.
Malga Canidi is also an interesting place from a naturalistic point of view, as it is close to the blueberry trail and also to a 'posa' (water source) where the temporary frog and the yellow-bellied toad live.
From Mel, one reaches the malga by heading to Praderadego, which is 10 km away, and then continuing for another 4 km on dirt road, where the last stretch is steep but paved. From Rifugio Posapuner, reachable in 12.5 km from Combai (TV), one can reach Malga Canidi on foot or by MTB on a dirt road closed to traffic.
