It was far after the war when in Sernaglia della Battaglia (TV) Grandpa Bepi and his whole family began to breed animals and transform their products to feed their family. Having something to sell or trade was essential to get by and try to emerge from the hunger and misery of those years.
So it was that Dad Sebastiano decided at the end of the 80s to continue the agricultural activity integrating it with the pasture in the foothills of Treviso during the summer, so as to produce and promote simple and genuine products, enhancing the flavors of tradition.
The years pass, the work becomes passion and the passion returns work, to the point that the Fattoria Nonno Bepi in 2019 leaves the lands of Treviso to move to Belluno.
Luca and his family buy a company abandoned for several years, where for a long time he works hard with the aim of realizing his desire. The ancient ruin finally becomes the perfect place to raise with dedication his animals and express all his dairy creativity, matured over the years.
Here is born the house with the attached stable, the dairy, the cellar, the processing room and everything you need to manage a farm in step with the times. Now the new reality becomes "FATTORIA BEPI ZUMELLE", with the desire to link the name of the founding grandfather, Bepi, to the new Zumellese adventure.
The farm is located in Mel, a few steps from the beautiful old town, along the bank of the river Piave and extends for just over 9 hectares, as well as enjoying a breathtaking view of the peaks of Feltre and the Dolomites. The farm is home to several types of animals, including cows, goats, horses, donkeys, ponies and pigs. Dairy products vary mainly from cottage cheese, butter, yogurt,... as well as the classic cow and goat cheeses: caciottas, aged and blue cheeses. There is never a lack of news and the search for new flavors to satisfy different palates.
For lovers of local cold cuts, they can find here all the goodness "de na olta" enclosed in experience in breeding and meat processing. All this can be tasted in sausages, cotechini, salami, sopresse, bacon and soracosta. Seasonality is an important factor in ensuring the freshness and authenticity of our products that many already appreciate.
Fattoria Nonno Bepi sells its specialties at weekly markets, fairs and home deliveries, as well as in its own small shop.
