The Nevegal cliff, also known as the Terrace over the Lake or more accurately as Faverghera, stands out for its finely worked gray limestone rich in small holes, and is located in a highly suggestive place, a sort of natural terrace with a view of Lake Santa Croce and the Cansiglio Plateau. The wall offers a wide variety of climbs ranging from vertical to slightly overhanging of medium difficulty. Despite the cliff being at a relatively high altitude (1420m), due to the wall's east exposure, the hottest summer days are not recommended; spring and autumn are preferred instead.
Limestone wall with holes located on the eastern slope of the ridge that connects Col Faverghéra to Monte Pascolèt. The cliff has been recently re-equipped thanks to the contribution of CLIMBAND from Belluno. For some routes, a 60m rope is necessary.
Access: Reach the parking area in front of the Nevegal ski lifts, then proceed uphill by taking Via Faverghera and following the signs to the restaurant La Casera. After a series of hairpin turns, you will arrive at the large parking lot of the restaurant in question. Proceed on foot by taking the path that runs along the left side of the uphill cobbled road; after a few meters, past a tower of a decommissioned ski lift, the path will bend left. After a clearing, at a wooden sign, the path descends sharply towards Lake Santa Croce. In a short time, assisted by some fixed ropes in the area, you will reach the base of the wall. 15 minutes on foot.
