Immersed in the beautiful nature that surrounds the town of Feltre, the German Cemetery of San Paolo houses the bodies of 273 Bavarian Alpenkorps, who died in this area during the battles on Mount Grappa. This memory space was born in 1939, shortly after the nearby Mausoleum of Quero. It is a simple green area, fenced by a low brick wall, on which 273 crosses in red porphyry have been placed in an orderly manner. To access it it is necessary to cross the small church of San Paolo, dating back to the sixteenth century, where there is also the plaque in which the names of those who rest in the cemetery have been transcribed.
