There are no documents on the date of construction of the primitive church.
The first mention refers to an "external chapel" of the parish of Sernaglia, which was established as a parish in 1573.
The current church dates back to 1887 and retains only the choir of the old building.
Almost destroyed during the First World War, it was rebuilt in 1921 according to the design of architect Alberto Alpago-Novello and was consecrated again by Bishop E. Beggiato in 1926.
Inside, featuring a single room with side chapels, it is characterized by the presence of works by Giuseppe Modolo, the altarpiece of the Sacred Heart, and the fresco of Saint Nicholas on the throne in the apse.
