It was founded on November 2, 1875 thanks to the devotion of Don Giacomo Franceschini and the donation of Cavalier Giuseppe Bernardi.
The temple was solemnly dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Health, so that she would protect the population from the contagion of epidemics. Destroyed by the bombings of the Great War, it was rebuilt "more beautiful and more dignified" in the following years, and was blessed again on November 21, 1929.
On the hundredth anniversary of its founding, at the behest of an heir of the Bernardi family, it was provided with an elegant portico, inaugurated on November 21, 1975.
