Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta e San Felice Martire

The parish of Trichiana, formerly the pieve of S. Felice di Castrodardo, in memory of the original parish dedicated to S. Felice and the ancient castle located near the Ardo stream, was likely founded by the early Christians in the Val Belluna.
Its presence is already documented by a parchment from 1204. The parish of Trichiana, like those of Mel and Lentiai, has belonged to the diocese of Ceneda since the Middle Ages, now Vittorio Veneto.
The ancient oratory of S. Maria, dating back to before the 1400s, was demolished to make way for the current parish church, before which there were two parish churches in the Pieve of S. Felice.
The ancient parish church, S. Felice, was located near the Piave river, where there was a ferry, and is considered one of the oldest in Valbelluna, as it was built in the early medieval period.
The second parish church, later transformed into the current Archpriest church, was located in the village of Trichiana and soon became the main church of the parish.
The new parish church was blessed on July 26, 1789, and consecrated on September 25, 1825, taking the title of the demolished oratory and the ancient parish church, S. Maria and S. Felice Martyr.
Among the works of art: altar piece by Giovanni da Mel, frescoes on the vault of the nave by Giambattista Canal, wooden furnishings by Raffaele Piazza, a student of the famous Valentino Panciera Besarel.

The interior is a single nave.
