Among the streets of Gera, the small village nestled between the streams Padola and Digon, Casa Vettori immediately catches the eye. This elegant bourgeois residence from the eighteenth century, owned for centuries by the eponymous family of skilled blacksmiths, still stands out today among the more modern architectures of the town.
The facade, sober and harmonious, is marked by the openings of its three floors and reflects the typical elegance of the era. Although the palace is not open to visitors, as it is still used by the family as a summer residence, it preserves precious decorations inside with motifs of leaves and Ionic volutes.
Enhancing the property are a spacious garden-vegetable garden, an ancient barn, and a charming private church, built between 1704 and 1706. Inside, it houses a precious collection of relics and the body of Saint Julia the martyr, donated by Cardinal Costantino Patrizi to Cecilia Colossis Vettori.
