The Retic Path, conceived and designed by Francesco De Bortoli, temporarily managed by the social promotion association Carpe Diem Feltre, is a path that will take you on a journey through time, immersing you in silent woods, solitary villages, and welcoming towns.
The path can be traveled in seven days across 10 municipalities in Veneto and Trentino, covering a total length of about 170 km, starting and ending in Aune di Sovramonte. The route develops at average altitudes between 400 and 1300 meters, following the ancient pre-Roman tracks of the Cismon Valley, the plateaus of Sovramonte and Lamon, and the historic villages of Fonzaso, Arsiè, Seren del Grappa, Cesiomaggiore, Feltre, and Pedavena. All places of historical interest, such as the site of the burial of the man from Val Rosna, the Neanderthal site of Monte Avena, the Sanctuary of San Vittore and Corona, the Villa of Centenere (which houses the milestone related to the Roman road Claudia Augusta Altinate), and the walled city of Feltre.
And yet, places of naturalistic interest like the Valley of Seren, the slopes of Monte Grappa, and the natural area of Vinchetto.
And places of tourist interest, such as the locality of Ponte Serra, Monte Avena, Lake Corlo, Birreria Pedavena, and the bicycle museum in Cesiomaggiore.
An initiative that will surprise tourists eager to discover the traditions and knowledge of the Feltre valley and beyond, thanks to the interaction and contribution of local people, and to uncover hidden corners away from mass tourism.
