In 1972, the brothers Angelo Aldo (1921-1988), Mario (1926-1987), and Renzo (1928-1987) Cortina, along with Beatrice Merlin, booksellers originally from Trichiana, promoted the establishment of a public library in Trichiana.
The proposal was accepted by the then Municipal Administration, and the three brothers and the associated bookstores made a significant donation of books.
The library was inaugurated in 1974 and dedicated to Enrico Merlin (1937-1971), a bookseller from Trichiana who passed away prematurely.
Today, it is a modern library, an internet point, always updated with the latest editorial novelties and with a rich offering of music and films. A “window to the world” attentive to the informational, cultural, and intelligent entertainment needs of its users.
