THE LIBRARY
The Civic Library of Ponte nelle Alpi moved to its current location on Via Mangiarotti in October 2003, in a position that has allowed it to gain greater visibility and accessibility (also for the disabled), given its "central" position (near the railway, next to the elementary schools, close to the most frequented places in the Municipality).
Currently, the Library occupies the entire ground floor of the building. In the newly renovated location, a space has also been created for exhibitions and conferences where cultural events (children's workshops, painting and sculpture exhibitions, meetings with authors) related to the Library's activities are held.
The new spaces are pleasant, bright, and easily accessible, and have allowed the Library to become a place of culture, information, gathering, and socialization, designed within an open and flexible space, dedicated to a varied and diverse audience in age and interests.
The library collection amounts to about 22,000 documents, all in open shelves. There are books, films, audiobooks, and magazines for every age and interest.
The Library is a member of the Provincial Library Service of the Province of Belluno.
