This loop trail crosses environments of forest and prairie, offering wide panoramas of the Valbelluna, on the Treviso side and, on clearer days, all the way to the Venice lagoon. The route develops along slopes and natural stretches that require a sure foot and good physical preparation, providing an immersive experience among nature and mountainous landscape.
The starting point is Malga Montegal, where there is a convenient free parking area. From here, follow trail marker no. 2200 on an asphalt road towards Malga Canal del Gat, which is reached shortly.
Then continue on a dirt road towards Malga Van, where you take the forest road on the right (trail marker no. 2202) that leads to Malga Cor, crossing a tranquil forest environment.
From here, the path continues along the ridge, following trail no. 2000, with wide views of the surrounding landscape, until the fork at Casere Frascon.
Then continue along the forest road with trail marker no. 2204, going back into the woods and crossing the picturesque Troi dei Cavai (continuation of the historic Cavai road no. 1033 coming from Revine-Madonna della Neve). The loop trail closes by returning to Malga Montegal.
