The Ring of Monte Pezza is a scenic route that leads to the highest peak in the municipality of Limana, crossing woods, pastures, and authentic mountain environments. The trail offers wide views of the surrounding area and represents an experience suitable for those seeking a hike immersed in nature, with sections that require a steady step and a decent physical preparation.
The route starts from Malga Van, where free parking is available just before the facility. From here, follow forest road No. 2200, following the signs for Malga Pianezze.
Upon reaching the malga, continue right on trail No. 2201 crossing the ridge of Col della Crosetta (1285 m), with beautiful views of Monte Sambuga. In the Sella Sambuga area, the route turns south and continues through the woods, gaining altitude until reaching the crest pastures and the summit of Monte Pezza (1453 m).
From the peak, continue along trail No. 2000 in the direction of Malga Cor. From here, descend on trail No. 2202 passing by the Saonera Spring, until returning to Malga Van, completing the loop.
A scenic and varied route that alternates between sections in the woods and stunning open views over the high pastures.
