WELL-BEING THROUGH THE COMMUNICATIVE POWER OF IMAGES AND WATER
A reflection on how the interaction between images and the element of water (in the ancient Japanese artistic technique of Suminagashi) can promote psycho-physical well-being. Through practical examples and scientific references, we will explore how these two communicative forces influence the mind and body, fostering balance and positive emotions.
WHO IS BEATRICE BASSO
Certified coach, she specializes in artistic mediation communication techniques, delving into the ancient Japanese artistic technique of suminagashi and creating the Suminagashi Experience method. Her passion for art has been passed down since childhood, growing up with a painter and violinist grandfather.
Suminagashi is generally considered a form of art. For me, especially integrated with the coaching techniques I use during sessions, it becomes a creative process that leads to the discovery of one’s inner self. Through the floating designs on water, it is possible to reach a state of relaxation and well-being so much so that Suminagashi becomes another way to practice meditation. The result is an unexpected and unique work, always different, aimed at revelation rather than aesthetic judgment. In this context, we use the communicative power of images to connect with ourselves on a deeper level. For me, it is a practice through which we listen to what the water wants to tell us.
I organize experiential workshops, paths, and Residential programs that become a deep experience; I choose locations that whisper harmony with nature and foster a sense of quiet, calm, and relaxation. Because they are part of the experience itself: they are the frame that initially delineates the space, ultimately enriching the image, always containing the expression.
