The Santa Bellunese Pumpkin, a jewel of local agriculture, has always been the protagonist of a festival that celebrates its flavor and history: the Caorera Pumpkin Festival. This event, held every year in the lower area of Feltre, has become an unmissable appointment for lovers of good food and tradition.
Founded in 2011, the festival has grown year after year, becoming a reference point for the whole community and beyond. The Consortium for the Protection of the Santa Bellunese Pumpkin, whose objective is to promote this traditional agri-food product included in the Quality Charter of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, is the engine of this initiative.
The pumpkin, with its sweet flesh and its versatility in cooking, is the main ingredient of many specialties proposed during the festival. Gnocchi, crêpes, lasagne and desserts: each dish is a tribute to the culinary tradition of Belluno. But the festival is not just food. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of this land, to meet local producers and discover the beauty of the area.
The programme includes exhibitions, markets and musical performances.
